A Colorful Mess

No matter what my current obsessions are, I'll never get tired of drawing these two.
Anyway, recently discovered the joy of using color palettes thanks to the awesome . (Seriously, thanks for giving me that link. ) And I'm honestly very happy with these? I tried using color harmony, and I think I understand it a little better now. Also, I've finally figured out what kind of style I want to develop! Yay! (This is a very serious matter- it's literally been bugging me for months XP)
So, about the pictures:

1. First attempt at using dull colors. Phoebe's practically doing the same thing I have for the past few weeks: studying. Also, have I mentioned that I hate drawing hands?
2. I thought this palette would suit Victor perfectly, being the hyper, social butterfly that he is. Yellows everywhere!
3. The previous picture of her was very dull, so I gave vivid colors a try. Needless to say that this one hurt my eyes XP
4. This picture is basically summing up everything I learned from the previous ones. There's also a bit of background behind it: oneirai aren't very fond of mages, especially those of the East, so they enjoy messing with them in their sleep. Therefore, mages always keep an oneirai catcher near their bed to protect themselves. Also, Victor's skin tone never seems to want to cooperate with anything.
